Lusardi Construction invites motivated interns to join our San Marcos, CA and Dublin, CA offices for hands-on exposure to construction project engineering. You will learn to read blueprints, understand trade boundaries, and participate in bid processes, RFIs, submittals, and cost reporting, gaining practical insights across the project team.

Qualifications

• Engineering, Construction Management, or Architectural degree completed or in progress, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency or basic understanding of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, etc)
• Procore and Bluebeam experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain all sets of drawings, specifications and logs
• Prepare document distributions to subcontractors
• Assist with the maintenance and updating of project schedules
• Assist with determining weekly labor production quantities
• Assist with processing submittals
• Assist with processing RFI’s
• Maintain RFI logs
• Input data for labor cost reports and field quantity surveys
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned

Job description

The Lusardi Construction Internship Program is designed to engage undergraduate and postgraduate college students in the practical application of general construction and technical skills. A Project Engineer (PE) Intern will learn to read blueprints, understand the trades and the boundaries of each trade, learn how things are built, and experience the bid process. During your PE Internship you will learn about RFI's, submittals, estimating (quantity takeoffs and pricing), change orders, and the relationships between the entire project team.

We offer internships in our San Marcos, CA and Dublin, CA office.

The pay range for this position of employment is expected to be between $25.00/hour and $30.00/hour. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
