The Boldt Company in Sacramento, CA is offering a Project Engineer Intern position to support project teams on the delivery of complex projects and to gain hands-on experience in planning, coordination, and field operations.

You will work alongside project engineers, superintendents, and craft professionals to gather and coordinate information, participate in RFIs and submittals, and contribute to safety and sequencing activities under experienced mentors.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university as a Junior or Senior in an undergraduate program; preferred majors include Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related fields.
  • Evidence of high academic achievement with current or prior elected leadership experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and ability to work optimally with minimum supervision.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future

Job Title: Project Engineer Intern

As a Project Engineering Intern at Boldt, you will work side by side with project engineers, superintendents, and craft professionals to support the successful delivery of projects. In this role, you will assist in gathering, evaluating, and coordinating the information needed to ensure work is completed in alignment with contract documents. You will actively participate in project planning, safety planning, sequencing, and subcontractor coordination. You will also support the team by contributing to key project processes, including RFIs, submittals, operations and maintenance manuals, warranties, and project close-out activities. Through hands-on involvement and collaboration, you will gain valuable experience in project execution while building strong relationships across the team.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $25 to $29 per hour. This information reflects the anticipated base salary for this position based on current market data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual’s skills, experiences, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

What You Bring
  • Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university as a Junior or Senior in an undergraduate program. Preferred majors/concentrations in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related fields.
  • Evidence of high academic achievement with current or prior elected leadership experience preferred. Passion and desire to work in the construction industry.

  • Prior work experience, internship, or trade experience preferred, but not required.
