Job summary

Brady West NorCal seeks motivated Project Engineer Interns to gain hands-on experience in specialty subcontracting, support project managers, and learn how to deliver projects with quality, safety, and efficiency.

This entry-level role offers hands-on training and mentorship from experienced project engineers and managers, exposure to large-scale construction projects, and a potential path to future full-time opportunities.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field program.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
• Eager to learn and apply project management principles in real-world settings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Familiarity with project management software is a plus.
• No prior experience required; entry-level opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Assist with contract document management and submittals.
• Scan and upload documents onto OnBase.
• Solicit quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Manage subcontractor-related documents for jobs.
• Create submittal packages with data, SDS, LEED letters, and drawings.
• Assist with forecasting and cost analysis.
• Research cost analyses of new products and manufacturers.
• Prepare cost breakdowns and color-coded drawings.
• Assist with change order takeoff and pricing.
• Draft and submit RFIs.
• Support QA and job close-out processes.
• Calculate unit costs based on material, hours, and labor dollars.
• Attend mandatory company training and comply with policies.
• Live out the company's mission, purpose, and values.

Brady West NorCal is seeking motivated Project Engineer Interns to join our team. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in specialty subcontracting, support project managers and learn how to deliver projects with quality, safety, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Contract document management: including, but not limited to updating contract drawings and specifications, RFI and change management (i.e., ASIs, Bulletins, RFQs) and submittals
• Scanning and uploading documents and emails onto OnBase
• Soliciting quotes from Suppliers, Vendors and Subcontractors
• Management of job specific subcontractor related documents as applicable
• Creating submittals packages; including, but not limited to creating cover sheets, obtaining product data, maintenance information, SDS sheets, LEED letters, and shop drawings
• Assisting with forecasting / cost analysis
• Research and cost analysis of new products and manufacturers
• Producing cost breakdowns / color coded drawings
• Assisting with change order takeoff / pricing
• Drafting and submitting RFI’s
• Assisting with QA process
• Assisting with job close-out process
• Calculate unit costs based on quantity of material installed, hours worked, and labor dollars
• Attend and participate in all required company training programs
• Conform to all company policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Construction Management, Engineering, or other related field program
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting
• Eager to learn and apply project management principles in real-world settings
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with project management software is a plus
• No prior experience required, this is an entry-level, learning-focused opportunity
