Job summary

Huntsman is seeking a Project Engineer for the ADMAT Division located in Rock Hill, South Carolina. This position reports to the Engineering Technical Manager and focuses on planning, directing, organizing and executing plant projects to achieve objectives on time and within budget.

You will lead capital projects, coordinate with operations, contractors, and vendors, and ensure safety, quality and operational readiness. Strong collaboration and communication are essential across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years in chemical manufacturing/oil and gas/pharma.
• 5+ years leading industrial engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital and improvement projects from concept to completion.
• Coordinate staffing and contractor/vendor activities.
• Prepare capital requests, project scopes, cost estimates, and change management documentation.
• Develop equipment specifications and data sheets for process equipment, instrumentation, controls, and electrical systems.
• Coordinate project execution to ensure compliance with technical, safety, quality, and operational requirements.
• Support construction activities, field work, contractor coordination, and safety reviews.
• Collaborate with process development, engineering, and production teams to define project scope and requirements.
• Prepare project reports, KPIs, funding requests, and progress updates for management.
• Ensure proper project turnover by providing complete documentation, operating instructions, maintenance information, spare parts lists, and equipment manuals.
• Demonstrate commitment to EH&S excellence and Huntsman's Zero Harm culture.
