Job summary

ANDRITZ Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to provide process and mechanical engineering support for air pollution control projects, including baghouse filters, scrubbers, sorbent injection, and oxidizers.

You will perform mass/energy balances, review specs, and develop equipment cost estimates. The role involves creating P&IDs, PFDs, and instrument lists using AutoCAD, writing technical specs, and coordinating with mechanical, electrical, and purchasing teams to ensure project scope and budgets

Qualifications

BS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
3+ years of experience as a mechanical or chemical engineer.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Effective time management and deadline-oriented work.

Responsibilities

Perform mass and energy balances, heat transfer and pressure drop calculations.
Review technical documents and specifications.
Develop cost estimates for equipment and services.
Coordinate with application engineers to align proposals with project scope and budget.
Create P&IDs, PFDs, logic diagrams, and instrument location drawings using AutoCAD.
Write specifications for process instrumentation and equipment.
Approve quotes and generate requisitions based on performance data.
