Role:

The SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER will support QA, Supply Chain, suppliers, and customers to ensure the continued operational safety of airworthy flight hardware.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support QA, Supply Chain, and suppliers regarding drawing interpretation, manufacturing, and inspection methods.
  • Evaluate non-conforming materials, analyzing fit, function, safety, and reliability; communicate findings to relevant teams.
  • Complete engineering changes with proper substantiation and drawings for product improvements.
  • Assist customers and operators with product-related inquiries.
  • Participate in design reviews for supplier and product changes or improvements.
  • Review first article inspections, documentation, and supplier changes of production parts.
  • Review and give feedback on manufacturing process plans for production parts.
  • Guide junior engineers on designs, methods, regulations, and procedures.
  • Develop test plans and design tooling/fixtures for inspection of production parts.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.

Experience:
  • 5-10 years in aerospace or mechanical design/manufacturing.
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD software (Pro-Engineer, SolidWorks, etc.).
  • Experience with aerospace design, testing, manufacturing, or maintenance.
Specialized Knowledge and Abilities:
  • Fluent in English.
  • Proficient with MS Office and 3D CAD software.
  • Strong mathematical, reasoning, and analytical skills, including knowledge of geometric dimensioning and aerospace materials.
  • Understanding of aerospace manufacturing methods and quality standards.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work in a team-oriented, deadline-driven environment.
Physical Demands

Occasional sitting, handling, talking, standing, walking, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds. Vision requirements include close, color, peripheral, depth, and focus adjustment.

Work Environment

Mainly office-based with potential exposure to manufacturing floor environments with noise and machinery exposure.
