Job summary

MIRATECH in Houston seeks a highly skilled Project Engineer III to bridge sales and engineering, crafting solutions for complex customer needs and guiding technical teams. You will interact with sales staff and customers to identify requirements and provide advanced technical support through the sales process.

You will lead proposals, cost estimates, and technical documentation while mentoring junior engineers and driving engineering standards across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 10+ years in a related engineering field or at MIRATECH.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently on complex technical challenges and lead technical efforts.
• Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce) or technical documentation software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks CAD or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries regarding product specifications, features, and integration capabilities.
• Educate sales staff and customers on technical solutions.
• Ensure proposed solutions are correctly sized and constructed to meet quality and performance standards.
• Lead the creation of proposals, quotes, and technical documentation for potential clients.
• Support sales strategy discussions with advanced technical insights during negotiations.
• Assist operations and project managers in executing complex or high-impact projects.
• Lead project cost estimating and consult on advanced product design with sales and production teams.
• Provide installation oversight and troubleshooting for new and custom products in the field.
• Create tools for matured products to transition to Catalyzer or other teams; standardize engineering practices.
• Drive process improvements, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to cross-functional problem solving.

Primary Responsibility:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Project Engineer III to join our team. The Project Engineer III works at the intersection of sales and engineering, helping our clients understand and implement our products and solutions. You will communicate face to face with our sales staff and customers to identify project needs and provide advanced technical support through the sales process. At this level, the Project Engineer III designs solutions for complex applications, serves as a senior technical resource, and works with a high degree of independence while contributing to cross-functional technical leadership.

What You'll Do:

What Qualifies You:

• Advanced time management and organizational skills, with a strong track record of meeting project deadlines, solving problems, and developing creative solutions.
• Ability to work independently on complex technical challenges and lead technical efforts within projects.
• Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) or technical documentation software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Proficiency with SolidWorks CAD or equivalent.
