Job summary

PC Construction in Vermont seeks a Project Engineer II to support design review, bidding, subcontracts, and schedule management across high-profile projects. You will coordinate with owners, design teams, and field staff to ensure scope, cost, and timeline adherence.

The ideal candidate has a degree in engineering or construction management and at least three years of experience directing construction activities and managing financial outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or construction management.
• Three years of experience directing, completing, and managing financial outcomes of construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Review design drawings and specifications to determine scope and potential issues.
• Meet with clients to review opportunities and develop scope based on conditions and client intent.
• Assemble and distribute bid packages and manage subcontractor communications.
• Manage pricing, scope, and schedule with subcontractors and vendors; handle addenda.
• Perform detailed takeoffs and assist in estimating projects.
• Prepare and review subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders, and related costs.
• Prepare and distribute project meeting minutes and coordinate subcontractor activities.
• Read and review owner contracts; generate RFIs and change orders in CMiC.
• Develop and maintain contract document logs; update design drawings, specs, RFIs, submittals, schedules.
• Update submittal logs at project onset and review submittals for compliance.
• Expedite submittals to prevent delays in construction activities.
• Keep progress up-to-date in the project schedule and adjust as needed.
• Verify material deliveries meet contract requirements and submittal data.
• Assist with project closeout including as-built drawings and O&M manuals.
