Job summary

UES, Inc. in Florida seeks an experienced Project Engineer specializing in Construction Materials Testing to support engineering and project management operations.

This role requires a current Professional Engineer license and entails technical review, approval, and signing of materials testing reports. You will provide oversight for testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, and related materials, manage CMT projects, mentor staff, and coordinate with field teams and clients throughout the project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Construction, or Geotechnical Engineering.
• 5+ years of progressive engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; travel as needed.
• Proficiency in engineering software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar) and project documentation tools.
• Solid knowledge of industry regulations, construction practices, and risk management.
• Effective communication and leadership skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Review, approve, and sign/seal materials testing reports in accordance with codes and project specs.
• Provide technical oversight for construction materials testing activities (soil, concrete, asphalt, masonry).
• Support project teams with technical questions, field issues, testing discrepancies, and engineering recommendations.
• Serve as technical resource for clients, contractors, consultants, and internal staff.
• Train, mentor and provide technical guidance to engineers, interns, technicians, and staff.
• Participate in client meetings and provide engineering expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
