Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX business, invites engineers to join a growing team in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. You will support project planning, budgeting, and cross-disciplinary collaboration across software and systems teams.

The role emphasizes meeting program schedules, risk management, and effective communication in English within a matrix organization. A hybrid work model is offered with relocation not available.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced related degree.
• Experience using Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
• Proven ability to communicate in English (verbal and written).
• U.S. citizenship is required for access to program information.

Responsibilities

• Use project engineering tools to develop plans, schedules, and budgets for different projects.
• Support IPTs in Bid and Proposal processes, coordinating meetings and data.
• Document delays, changes in scope, and incidents affecting scope or schedule.
• Identify project risks and mitigation plans for impacted projects.
• Conduct meetings and present plans and progress relating to business aspects.
• Interface between software and systems teams and other engineering disciplines.
• Review status, manage schedules, and prepare reports.
• Meet program schedules and budgets, maintaining IMS for the project.

This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.

This role is categorized as hybrid , with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote following the schedule assigned by the Manager.

What YOU will do:

• Use project engineering tools, like Agile methodology, to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets for different projects.
• Support Integrated Product Teams (IPT) in different aspects of the Bid and Proposal process for Mission Systems, as coordinate meetings and management of proposals data.
• Record and document delays, changes in scope, and any other incidents that impact on the scope of work or schedule to ensure smooth project operations.
• Identify project risks, opportunities and mitigation plans for impacted projects.
• Conduct meetings and consolidate and present plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the project.
• Liaise between different engineering disciplines, as Software and Systems teams.
• Review project and budget status, manage schedules, and prepare reports.
• Meet program schedules and budgets, and support maintain the integrated master schedules (IMS) for the project.

Qualifications you must have:

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 2 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
• Knowledge and experience in project management tools, like Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Project management experience.
• MS Project, PowerPoint, and Excel experience.
• Experience working across a highly matrixed organization, including team members, suppliers, and customers.
• Experience with task detail planning, budget planning and project execution.
• Continuous Improvement training or experience.
• PMP, EVMS certification, or similar project management credential
• Technical understanding of engineering development, qualification, or production processes relevant to Collins products
• Experience with full product life cycle across systems, hardware, software, or mechanical disciplines.
