Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Project Engineer II to apply engineering skills and project management to design changes, derivative tool releases, and maintenance of existing products. You will work with cross-functional teams to move fast and stay connected with on-site peers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Typically 2-3 years of experience in an equivalent role.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of applications, including Microsoft Project.
• Ability to manage several simultaneous projects.
• Basic understanding of cost drivers: materials, labor & overhead.
• Working knowledge of CAD; NX experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead low complexity projects and variants of existing products.
• Provide mid-complexity project support across teams.
• Lead projects using existing/off-the-shelf manufacturing technologies.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Purchasing, Finance, Service & Support, Marketing, and others.
• Evaluate designs for material selection, cost, heat treatment, tolerances, and performance.
