Job summary

AVL Mobility Technologies, Inc. (MTI) is seeking a Project Engineer II - Design to provide technical leadership across engineering programs and cross-functional teams. The role involves system architecture and 3D/2D CAD design of components and assemblies.

The project manager will coordinate design reviews and sign-offs, resolve engineering conflicts, and input BOM data while guiding input from other skill groups. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Qualifications

• Experience in 3D/2D CAD design of components and assemblies.
• Strong system engineering skills including architecture and interfaces.
• Ability to lead technical studies, specification writing, and technical plans.
• Ability to coordinate input from multiple skill teams and manage design reviews.

Responsibilities

• Plans and formulates workflow to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Owns system engineering tasks: architecture, interfaces, DFMEA, DVPR, BOM input.
• Coordinates design reviews and sign-off reviews; resolves engineering conflicts.
• Leads and author single team proposals; provides engineering leadership to project teams.

MTI is looking for a motivated engineer to join our team. We are specifically looking for a Project Engineer II - Design to provide technical, program, and account management expertise to cross-functional business development and engineering program team execution activities.

Roles:

• Plans and formulates workflow of self and other to meet specified deadlines with minimum of supervision
• Has engineering responsibility and can lead specific phases of projects i.e., technical studies, specification writing, establishing technical plans
• Co-ordinates project meetings, design reviews and sign off reviews
• Resolves engineering and design conflicts
• Responsible for 3D/2D CAD design of components and assemblies
• Owns all system engineering tasks relating to system responsibility i.e.
  • Architecture
  • Resolving design constraints and establishing interfaces
  • DFMEA’s, DVPR’s
  • BOM input
  • Coordinating input from other skill teams as required i.e., Analysis
  • Supplier negotiations and lead-time planning
• Lead and author single team proposals
• Provide engineering leadership to project teams
