Job summary

The Walsh Group in Oak Brook, IL seeks a Project Engineer II for its Construction Technology Group in the Transportation Division. You will solve problems using data-driven decisions and collaborate with a team to move projects forward, planning work and building strong relationships.

Responsibilities include document control, coordination with subs, procurement, QC/QA checks, site surveying, progress photos, safety, estimating, and site inspections.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a construction or project engineering role.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Previous internship, co-op, or employment experience is a plus.
• Specific roles may require relocation.

Responsibilities

• Document control (RFIs, submittals, change orders, claims, etc.).
• Assisting and supporting project team with daily project coordination.
• Procurement of construction materials.
• Quality Control / Quality Assurance checks.
• Coordination of subcontractors.
• Survey and project layout.
• Weekly pictures for progress reports.
• Manage construction equipment.
• Safety management.
• Project estimating.
• Inspect project site(s).
