Job summary

Honeywell Technologies is seeking a Project Engineer II to oversee capital projects within the Process Technology ISC unit. You will manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives are met.

You will report to the Senior Engineering Manager and operate on a Hybrid schedule from Houston, TX or other PT ISC locations, coordinating with finance, site controllers, and contractors to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in industrial environments.
• 2+ years with capital expenditure processes and PM methodologies.
• 3+ years with PM tools/software focused on delivering on time/budget.
• 1+ year leading cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders.
• 1+ year analyzing project performance and applying corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage capital expenditure projects from initiation to completion.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvements and best practices.
• Manage lifecycle of capital projects including planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
• Provide project evaluation and economic analysis with business finance and site controller.
• Lead the effort for an approved Appropriation Request (AR).
• Collaborate with stakeholders and contractors to meet project objectives.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigations.
• Forecast and manage capital expenditures monthly.
• Ensure safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
• Provide regular project status updates to senior management.

You will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects, from initiation to completion, while meeting safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives. Your role will involve collaborating with cross‑functional teams, stakeholders, and contractors to deliver projects on time and within budget.

You will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects, from initiation to completion, while meeting safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives. Your role will involve collaborating with cross‑functional teams, stakeholders, and contractors to deliver projects on time and within budget. You will report directly to the Senior Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of one of our PT ISC locations - Houston, TX, Baton Rouge, LA, Mobile, AL, or Shreveport, LA, on a Hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will impact the organization by ensuring that capital projects are executed on time, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards. Your leadership will be pivotal in optimizing project outcomes and aligning them with our strategic objectives.

• Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets, and monitor progress against these metrics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and best practices.
• Manage the entire lifecycle of capital projects, including planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
• Work closely with the business finance and site controller to provide project evaluation and economic analysis on the capital investments for such managed projects.
• Manage the overall effort leading to an approved Appropriation Request (AR).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and contractors to ensure project objectives are met.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Responsible for forecasting and managing capital expenditures monthly.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental requirements.
• Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders and senior management.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

• 5+ years of experience in project management within an industrial type of environment.
• 2+ years of experience working with capital expenditure processes and project management methodologies.
• 3+ years of experience working in project management tools and software, with a focus on delivering projects on time and within budget.
• 1+ year of experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder expectations.
• 1+ year analyzing project performance and implement corrective actions as necessary.
