Job summary

EFCO Corp. in Des Moines, IA is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer 1 to translate engineering concepts into practical drawings for manufacturing and construction. You will draft preliminary layouts, specify equipment needs, and support project teams under supervision.

You will complete training on EFCO’s drafting standards and core values, apply math and CAD tools, and develop communication skills. Some travel may be required; 100% onsite at Des Moines office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• Must obtain FE (EIT) certification before advancing to higher engineering levels.
• Familiarity with Autodesk Revit and CAD.

Responsibilities

• Draft preliminary layouts and engineer contracted and presale projects.
• Prepare equipment requirements for projects.
• Under guidance, supervise specific project tasks and collaborate with other key personnel to ensure project requirements are met.
• Apply mathematics and technical skills to ensure engineering designs align with EFCO’s Quality standards and customer needs.
• Complete all required training, including EFCO’s core value training, policies, procedures, and forming systems.
• Learn and apply EFCO’s drafting and engineering standards.
• Leverage effective oral and written communication to ensure adoption of standards while fostering innovation in engineering practices.
