Job summary

Batson-Cook seeks Field Engineer I-III to support projects from multiple offices in Atlanta, West Point, Charlotte, Jacksonville, Orlando, or Tampa. Your assignment will be at the office location, with no required travel between sites.

You will assist with drawings, takeoffs, reports, and coordination across teams. Essential duties include reviewing drawings, cost tracking, bid package preparation, and maintaining RFI logs, as-built drawings, and project documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 2–3 years related experience or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Recognize change conditions and notify stakeholders.
• Ensure work complies with codes and drawings; coordinate inspections.
• Assist with constructability reviews and value engineering.
• Monitor costs and maintain job costing system.
• Prepare bid packages and define scopes of work.
• Prepare correspondence with owners, contractors, etc.
• Assist in daily job reports and schedule monitoring.
• Prepare drawings and sketches for construction work.
• Maintain RFI logs and respond to questions.
• Keep as-built drawings and post RFIs and ASIs.
• Assist pre-construction activities and project close-out.
