Job summary

Maas Energy Works, Inc. seeks an experienced Project Engineer (mechanical, chemical, or electrical) to manage project design, define technical scopes, and prepare design packages. You will collaborate with management, construction, vendors, and operations to hand off a robust facility.

The role requires experience in process plant design or operations, gas handling equipment, and capital project development. You may produce 3D models and review vendor drawings for accuracy and conformance.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related field or 5 years relevant experience.
  • Work experience in oil & gas, renewable energy, or petrochemical plants/facilities.
  • Knowledge of API, ASME, and NFPA standards.
  • CAD modeling and drafting skills (Civil 3D, Inventor, Plant 3D).
  • Proficient in English.

Responsibilities

  • Develop basis of design for projects, define deliverables, and create design packages.
  • Develop best practices and innovative solutions to improve production rates, quality, and safety.
  • Perform calculations, run simulations, and interpret data.
  • Specify materials, equipment, utilities, and instruments/control schemes.
  • Manage cost and time constraints.
  • Provide process documentation and operating instructions.

Compensation: Salary; Starting range is $80,000 - $110,000; Commensurate to Skills and Experience

Place of Work: Corporate Headquarters - 1730 South Street, Redding, CA 96001

Hours:Full-time: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm

Position Description:

Maas Energy Works (MEW) is looking for an experienced mechanical, chemical, or electrical engineer to be responsible for project design, defining technical scopes, and creating design packages. The Project Engineer will work with project management, construction management, equipment vendors, and other stakeholders to hand off a robust, working facility to the Operations team. The Project Engineer will need to have relevant experience with process plant design or operations, gas handling equipment, and capital project development and construction. A successful candidate will thrive working on fast-paced projects and handling complex tasks. The Project Engineer may need to produce 3D models and drawings relevant to their discipline and will be expected to review drawings and work packages from vendors and external engineering firms for accuracy, clarity, and conformance to project requirements. The Project Engineer will also assist the Operations team from time to time on system troubleshooting, equipment replacement, and other technical assistance.

  • Knowledge of industry standards such as API, ASME, and NFPA.
  • CAD Modeling and drafting skills (i.e. Civil 3D, Inventor, Plant 3D)
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations
  • Analytical thinker with interpersonal skills
  • Must be proficient in English.
