Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Project Engineer to support complex commercial construction projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will lead design, implementation, and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, and related building systems, interacting with clients and internal teams to ensure project objectives are met.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and at least 5 years of project engineering experience, with strong planning, coordination, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project engineering, specifically in systems design such as HVAC, plumbing, etc.
• Proven ability to read and interpret mechanical and plumbing plans.
• Experience in managing change orders, RFIs, submittals, and material coordination & ordering.
• Excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
• A professional engineering (PE) license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of various systems such as HVAC, plumbing, etc.
• Read and interpret mechanical and plumbing plans, ensuring that all designs meet the necessary specifications and standards.
• Handle change orders, RFIs, submittals, and material coordination & ordering in a timely and efficient manner.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders including clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project objectives are met.
• Oversee and manage all project engineering activities, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
• Ensure all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with the organization's established policies and objectives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
