We are seeking a High Voltage (HV) Project Engineer to lead the engineering execution, detailed design review, and technical oversight of utility-scale infrastructure projects. In role, you will act as the Owners technical authority for substation engineering while managing multidisciplinary engineering streams. You will bridge the gap between initial development, detailed design, and interconnection, ensuring all high-voltage assets are safe, compliant, incorporate company specification and optimized for performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Engineering & Management: Oversee the engineering lifecycle of projects from early-stage development engineering through detailed design, construction, and commissioning. Manage 3rd party consultants and coordinate with internal team members.
- Technical Oversight & SME Leadership: Serve as an internal Subject Matter Expert for HV asset designs, equipment procurement specifications, and technical compliance for project in early development through commissioning and in operation.
- Substation & Equipment Specification: Author and review comprehensive engineering specifications for major substation equipment (transformers, switchgear, breakers, protection and control systems).
- Multidisciplinary Coordination: Manage and align deliverables across internal and external multidisciplinary engineering teams, including civil, structural, protection & control (P&C), and SCADA.
- Interconnection Management: Lead technical discussions with utilities and transmission providers to successfully navigate grid interconnection requirements and compliance. Review IA’s for company projects under development and advise Interconnection and Development teams.
