Job summary
AECOM is seeking a Project Engineer in Sacramento, CA to advance the California High-Speed Rail program by guiding design and construction activities. You will review engineering submittals, resolve field issues, and coordinate with contractors, consultants, and regulators to ensure safety, quality and compliance.
The role emphasizes multidisciplinary collaboration, risk management, and documentation, with responsibilities spanning constructability reviews, VE assessments, and ongoing project
Qualifications
- BA/BS plus 4 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
- Licensed PE in California, or ability to obtain exam soon.
Responsibilities
- Review and provide technical oversight of submittals, drawings and specs for CAHSR standards and codes.
- Support resolution of design and construction issues including RFIs and non-conformance reports.
- Coordinate across civil, structural, geotechnical, systems and environmental disciplines.
- Provide input during constructability reviews and value engineering assessments.
- Manage contractor teams for bidding, proposing and deployment to construction.
- Monitor progress and support quality, cost and schedule adherence.
