Job summary

Graycor is seeking a Project Engineer for a structured Engineering Mentoring Program in Ohio. You will gain cross-department exposure, including project controls, scheduling, procurement, and contractor coordination, through a two-year rotation designed to develop core construction competencies.

Ideal candidates have technical degrees and up to 3 years of related experience, with strong communication and problem-solving skills. Travel to project sites is required, with travel incentives offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
• 0-3 years of internship or post-undergraduate construction experience.
• Willingness to travel extensively and reside at project sites as needed.
• Ambition to grow professionally across multiple project types.
• Proven ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and urgency.
• Effective communication with managers, subs, and craft workers.
• Proficiency in MS Office; scheduling/estimating tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager and Superintendent in project control, safety and quality programs.
• Develop and maintain critical path project schedules and look-ahead plans.
• Maintain documentation and expedite to Owner, Architect and Engineers.
• Assist procurement of equipment/materials and expediting deliveries.
• Track subcontractor and vendor performance and address issues.
• Support estimating and bid preparation activities.
