Ames Construction, a leading heavy civil contractor, seeks an Engineer to join our Greensboro-based team. The role focuses on managing large-scale infrastructure projects, including highways, bridges, utilities, and site development, with hands-on opportunities and mentoring.

Ideal candidates have a Civil Engineering-related degree and internship experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and familiarity with project management tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Internship or co-op experience in construction preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6) is a plus.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

Responsabilités

• Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with daily project operations.
• Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Track project progress, prepare reports, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Support quality control and safety compliance on job sites.
• Assist in cost tracking, budgeting, and schedule updates.
• Participate in problem-solving and provide technical support during construction activities.
