Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Project Engineer to join our northern Minnesota operations. You will manage geotechnical, special inspection, and construction materials testing projects, delivering technical solutions and maintaining client relationships. Responsibilities include leading project teams, preparing proposals, and ensuring schedule and budget adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in geotechnical, civil, or related engineering required.
• Master's degree in geotechnical, civil, or related engineering optional.
• Three or more years of geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing project management experience.
• Experience managing client relationships, vendor management, and leading a team preferred.
• Professional Engineer licensure in MN, or ability to attain within 6–12 months.
• Ability to lift up to 50–75 pounds periodically.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain internal and external client relationships, including face-to-face meetings.
• Provide leadership of a technical or project related team.
• Prepare proposals for moderate to complex projects.
• Develop and execute full scopes, and prepare engineering reports giving professional opinions and practical geotechnical solutions.
• Manage projects across scope, schedule and budget.
• Perform engineering analysis using company and industry methodologies and standards.
• Mentor junior level engineering staff.
• Understand and comply with corporate health and safety policies.

Job description

Salary: $80,000 - $119,000 per year.

Required Experience

• Master's degree (MS) in geotechnical, civil, or related engineering optional

• Experience managing client relationships, vendor management, and leading a team preferred
• Professional Engineer registration/licensure in MN, or ability to attain within 6 to 12 months
• Ability to lift up to 50 to 75 pounds on a periodic basis
