Job summary

B&T USA is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to lead engineering projects from concept to production. You will create and manage 3D models and 2D drawings in SolidWorks, apply DFM to ensure manufacturability, and collaborate cross-functionally to drive successful launches.

Ideal candidates have a mechanical engineering background with firearms design knowledge, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and a track record of managing complex engineering programs in an industrial

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Proficient in SolidWorks with strong 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
• Experience managing projects from concept to completion.
• In-depth knowledge of firearms design and functionality.
• Strong understanding of DFM principles and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent problem-solving, organization, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering projects from start to finish, including design, development, testing, and production launch.
• Develop and maintain detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks.
• Apply DFM principles to optimize for efficient manufacturing and assembly.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure project success.
• Lead design reviews, provide technical guidance, and implement feedback for improved performance.
• Conduct engineering analysis, including tolerance stacks, FEA, and material selection.
• Troubleshoot and resolve design and manufacturing issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation including specs, reports, and timelines.
