This is a unique opportunity to join at an early pre-construction stage, playing a key role in shaping project execution, validating design, and ensuring mechanical readiness before construction begins.

You’ll work closely with engineering, vendors, and construction teams on a large-scale SAG/ball mill process plant, contributing directly to successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify design gaps, constructability risks, and operational challenges early
  • Ensure systems are aligned with real operating and site conditions
  • Participate in technical bid evaluations and vendor coordination
  • Support key equipment packages (crushers, conveyors, pumps, recovery systems)
  • Liaise with OEMs to clarify technical requirements and specifications
  • Assess installation feasibility, sequencing, and logistics
  • Provide input into construction planning, work packages, and execution strategy
  • Ensure designs are practical and field-ready
  • Work closely with project controls and construction teams
  • Support schedule alignment and identify critical path equipment and activities
  • Assist with layout verification, equipment interfaces, and early construction planning
  • Support preparation for mechanical installation activities
  • Ensure design supports maintainability and long‑term plant performance
  • Review access, wear components, and maintenance strategies
Ideal Profile

✔️ 5–10+ years as a Project Engineer or Field Engineer

✔️ Strong experience in mining, mechanical, process plants, or heavy industrial environments

✔️ Exposure to SAG/ball mills, crushing, leach/CIP, or similar systems

✔️ Hands‑on experience supporting construction or plant execution

✔️ Strong understanding of constructability and field‑driven project delivery

✔️ Comfortable in a fast‑paced, agile team environment

✔️ Based in or willing to relocate to California/Nevada region

Work Model
  • Early phase: ~5 days / 8 hours (flexibility with some remote coordination)
  • Execution phase: transitions to 5x12-hour days (Mon–Fri) on site
  • Consultant engagement (rates, per diem, and travel support to be confirmed)
