Job summary

B&I Contractors, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join Florida’s fastest growing mechanical MEP contractor. You will assist the Project Manager on commercial mechanical/electrical/plumbing projects and gain skills to advance to a Project Manager role.

Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in engineering and proficiency with Word, Outlook, and Excel. The company offers employer-paid health insurance, vacation and sick time, ESOP ownership, a 401(k) with match, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in engineering or equivalent combination of construction and/or engineering office experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook & Excel.

Responsibilities

Assist Project Manager with total construction effort to ensure project is constructed per design, budget and schedule.
Interface with client representatives, subcontractors, vendors, etc.
Review and submit project documents in collaboration with PM and supervision per construction schedule (submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, subcontracts).
Provide field employees with necessary support to allow the project to be completed expeditiously.
Assist PM in extra work estimating and change orders.
