Job Description

Position Overview

The Project Engineer is a key member of the project team responsible for managing construction projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate material procurement and delivery
  2. Create and maintain project schedules
  3. Review shop drawings and submittals for suitability
  4. Quote and qualify subcontractor requests for change orders
  5. Track change orders and Requests for Information (RFIs)
  6. Collect, verify, and distribute as-built drawings
  7. Maintain project close-out documentation
  8. Assist with field supervision and blueprint reading
  9. Perform quantity take-offs and subcontractor solicitations
  10. Handle project correspondence and quality control
  11. Coordinate subcontractors and other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Knowledge of construction technology tools such as Blue Beam, Revit, and Procore
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets, word processing, and scheduling applications
  • 4-year degree in Engineering, Construction, Architecture, or Business
  • Prior experience is advantageous
