Job summary

The Walsh Group - Walsh Construction & Archer Western in Alaska seeks a Project Engineer for Kodiak & Anchorage to support project teams through document control, coordination, and procurement activities.

You will contribute to quality checks, subcontractor coordination, survey work, and basic estimating while gaining exposure to a large, family-owned company with a strong Alaska footprint.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in construction or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Previous internship, co-op, or employment experience is a plus.
• Relocation may be required for some roles.

Responsibilities

• Document control (RFIs, submittals, change orders, claims, etc.).
• Assisting and supporting project team with daily project coordination.
• Procurement of construction materials.
• Quality Control / Quality Assurance checks.
• Coordination of subcontractors.
• Survey and project layout.
• Weekly pictures for progress reports.
• Manage construction equipment.
• Safety management.
• Project estimating.
