IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer in Pecos, Texas, to support data center construction and infrastructure projects.

You will work under senior engineers and managers, gaining hands-on exposure to electrical, mechanical, and IT systems. The role emphasizes coordination, documenting progress, and ensuring safety compliance while developing technical skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of construction or engineering principles.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings with guidance.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficient knowledge of Outlook and MS Office (Excel, Word).
• Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Electrical field experience is a plus.
• Pass pre-employment background and MVR checks when operating vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Assist project managers with day-to-day project coordination.
• Support tracking of schedules, budgets, and material deliveries.
• Review drawings, submittals, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, and engineering teams.
• Participate in site walks, inspections, and progress meetings.
• Support quality control and safety compliance efforts.
• Assist with testing, commissioning, and system handover activities.
• Maintain organized project files and reports.
• Identify issues and advise senior team members.
• Ensure compliance with company and customer safety policies and procedures.
• Perform work on and off Project Sites.

Job Summary

Supports the planning, coordination, and execution of data center construction and infrastructure projects. Works under the guidance of senior project engineers and project managers and provides hands‑on exposure to data center systems, including electrical, mechanical, and IT infrastructures.
