Job summary

Lunda Construction Co. in Wisconsin is seeking an Entry-Level Project Engineer to join our team in Milwaukee or Black River Falls.

You will support project teams, assist with layout, and help with billing and scheduling to keep projects on track, on budget, and aligned with safety standards. You will work with internal teams, design partners, and subcontractors, interpret drawings, review shop drawings, and help ensure quality and compliance across activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Recent graduates encouraged to apply.
• Prior construction or heavy civil experience is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Support project teams consisting of Project Managers, Engineers, Superintendents, and field personnel.
• Assist with project layout and identifying critical work items and long-lead materials.
• Support monthly billing, cash flow forecasting, and change order processing.
• Interpret drawings and specifications to support craft installation and field execution.
• Review mock-ups, shop drawings, and subcontractor scopes of work.
• Monitor subcontractor compliance and coordinate with QA/QC team.
• Verify work is completed in accordance with drawings, codes, and specifications.
• Create and process RFIs (Requests for Information).
• Assist with schedule coordination and ensuring field teams have the information needed to execute work.
• Participate in development and review of design and work plans.
• Support safety initiatives, including inspections and OSHA compliance.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and other technical tasks as needed.
