Job summary

Dahl Consulting is seeking a Project Engineer in Richland, MS, to lead design execution of complex projects from concept to completion. You will coordinate civil, fabrication, and cross‑functional teams, review documents for accuracy, and travel to client sites to gather measurements and advise on engineering solutions.

The role emphasizes detailed design, adherence to specifications, and continuous product improvement, with a base salary in the $90k–$95k range plus a 5% annual bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with CAD drafting and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and project coordination skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Review quotes, proposals, and purchase orders to verify design requirements, technical accuracy, and pricing.
• Develop and maintain project design schedules, track progress, and resolve project issues.
• Coordinate design activities involving civil engineering, steel fabrication, and cross‑functional teams.
• Travel to customer sites to perform evaluations, collect field measurements, and develop recommendations.
• Review drawings to ensure specs compliance and manage revisions/change orders as needed.
• Provide engineering analyses and studies to support projects and product development.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and cross‑functional collaboration.
