Job summary

A leading construction firm in Oakland, California, is seeking a Project Engineer to assist the Area Manager on various projects. The ideal candidate will support construction planning, provide engineering assistance, and ensure quality throughout project execution. Responsibilities include managing RFIs, inspecting material deliveries, and collaborating across departments to resolve any issues that arise. This role offers exposure to both the Underground and Paving divisions while being part of a supportive and employee-owned company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support the Area Manager on assigned projects.
• Participate in construction planning and design.
• Provide engineering support for construction efforts.

Skills

Computer knowledge and efficiency
