GEA Group in Wisconsin invites you to join an international, multicultural project environment as a hands-on Project Engineer. You will support customer projects from engineering through commissioning, working closely with Project Managers and Engineers and taking ownership of defined technical and project tasks.

You will develop, maintain, and verify technical documentation (P&IDs, General Arrangements, Equipment Lists) and support design reviews, equipment specification, FAT/SAT, and

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and verify technical documentation like P&IDs, General Arrangements, and Equipment Lists.
  • Support design reviews and contribute to impact assessments for design changes or scope adjustments.
  • Specify, order, and follow up on process equipment, utility systems, valves, and piping with Procurement and suppliers.
  • Prepare and maintain FAT request lists and support FAT execution.
  • Support CVOs with technical input and documentation, coordinating with Packaging & Shipment for on-time delivery.
  • Assist pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, testing, troubleshooting, SAT, and final acceptance.

Your responsibilities and tasks

As our new Project Engineer , you will support the execution of customer projects from engineering potentially through commissioning, working closely with the Project Manager s . You will take ownership of defined technical and project-related tasks, ensuring that documentation, components, and deliverables are ready for each project phase.

  • Develop, maintain , and verify technical documentation such as P&IDs, General Arrangements, and Equipment Lists .
  • Support design reviews and contribut e to Impact Assessments related to design changes, deviations, or scope adjustments .
  • Specify, order, and follow up on process equipment, utility systems, valves, and piping component s in cooperation with Procurement, workshops, and suppliers.
  • Prepar e and maintain Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) request lists and support FAT execution .
  • Support Contract Variation Orders (CVOs) with technical input and documentation , and c oordinat e with Packaging & Shipment to ensure equipment is delivered according to project requirements.
  • Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities , testing, troubleshooting , Site Acceptance Test (SAT ) and final acceptance .

In this role, it is essential that you take a structured and systematic approach to your work, with strong ownership and attention to quality , safet y and documentation. You also know how to collaborate across disciplines and cultures in an international environment and are comfortable working with technical details.

Finally, we imagine that you:

Hold a b achelor’s or master’s degree in E ngineering , Marine Engineering ( Maskinmester ), Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering or a similar technical dis cipline .

Have an interest in technical project execution within the process-, food-, dairy-, or pharmaceutical industry.

It is an advantage , but not a requirement , if you have experience with:

  • Utility systems such as process utilities, water systems, steam, or HVAC.
  • CIP (Cleaning-in-Place) systems and hygienic process design.
  • Technical documentation and engineering deliverables.
  • FAT, SAT, commissioning, or validation activities.
  • GMP- regulated environments .
  • Process equipment and automation interfaces.
