Job summary

Suffolk Construction is seeking a Project Engineer to assist in estimating, evaluating, and managing information needed to complete projects on time. You will support change orders, subcontract/PO processes, vendor requisitions, and shop drawing reviews.

The role emphasizes organizational skills, attention to detail, and collaboration with project teams to ensure quality and timely delivery of construction work across projects.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with Change Orders and understand the related processes.
• Assist with purchasing from procurement through subcontract/PO execution.
• Assist with back charge processing and vendor/subcontractor requisitions.
• Read and process shop drawings and compare with project documents.
• Gain a basic understanding of contract documents.
• Assist with owner requisition processes and submittals.
• Support punch list, O&M manuals and as-built warranty information.
• Participate in project meetings.

Role

The Project Engineer assists in managing, evaluating, and assessing information necessary to construct the project on time.

Responsibilities

• Assist with creation of Change Orders and understand the processes and procedures around them
• Assist with purchasing process, from procurement through execution of the Subcontract/PO
• Assist with the back charge process
• Assist with processing of vendor and subcontractor requisitions
• Knowledge on reading and processing shop drawings and comparing them to project documents
• Gain a basic understanding of contract documents
• Assist with the owner requisition process
• Support the punch list process and work with the team to develop O&M Manuals and as-built warranty information
• Assist with the submittal, procurement, and delivery process
• Participate in project meetings
