Job summary

NOVA Engineering and Environmental, LLC in Charleston, SC is seeking a Project Engineer to lead geotechnical and Construction Materials Testing & Special Inspection projects. The role focuses on fieldwork, data analysis, reporting and client communication.

You will coordinate with project teams, supervise field activities, prepare clear technical reports, and support project management. A Civil Engineering degree and 3–5 years in geotechnical or CMT are preferred; PE is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution, or an equivalent international degree with NCEES credential evaluation is required.
• 3–5 years of geotechnical and construction materials testing or special inspections experience.
• Certifications such as ACI, ICC, SCDOT are a plus; PE or ability to obtain within 1–2 years.

NOVA Engineering is seeking a Project Engineer to work on Geotechnical and Construction Materials Testing & Special Inspection projects in Charleston, SC.

Primary responsibilities will include:

• Field engineering duties including data reduction, analysis & fieldwork for commercial, industrial, retail, government, office projects (Geotechnical and Construction Materials Testing/Inspection)
• Assisting with project management & reporting
• Field supervision of CMT /SI and Geotechnical Projects
• Report preparation
• Client consultation and maintenance

The preferred candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution, or an equivalent international degree with NCEES credential evaluation is required.
• 3 - 5 years of experience in geotechnical AND construction materials testing or special inspections
• ACI, ICC, SCDOT or other related certifications a plus
• PE or ability to obtain within a year or 2
