Job summary

Designed Conveyor Systems is seeking a Project Engineer to manage all engineering aspects of conveyor and material handling projects. You will lead cross-functional teams, maintain schedules and budgets, and mentor other engineers as needed.

You will apply your solid technical know-how and collaboration skills to review customer specs, use AutoCAD/Navisworks, coordinate with vendors, and ensure design integrity from concept to installation.

Qualifications

• You have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related area.
• You are proficient in AutoCAD and Navisworks; Inventor or similar tools are a plus.
• You are an expert in standard concepts, practices, and procedures within engineering.
• You can apply varying degrees of creativity to solve problems.
• You can anticipate tasks and drive delivery by project timelines.
• You have experience with ASRS, AMRs, Pallet Shuttle ASRS, and high-speed conveyors.
• You have experience in leading, mentoring, or managing other team members.
• You communicate effectively across teams to keep work moving forward.

Responsibilities

• Participate as a member of a project team to complete conveyor and material handling projects.
• Own and manage all engineering-related tasks on a project, including schedules and budgets.
• Lead conversations with vendors to review and evaluate system designs.
• Review customer specifications to ensure requirements are incorporated.
• Provide technical support throughout the engineering process.
• Use AutoCAD/Navisworks to complete system reviews and obtain approvals.
• Check drawings for accuracy.
• Validate handshakes and data exchange between automation solutions.
