Job summary

Russell is seeking a Project Engineer to support the project team and ensure client satisfaction across Midwest construction and development projects.

You will assist in estimates, interpretations of drawings, and coordination of change orders, while maintaining organized project files and supporting pre-construction activities. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, along with a valid driver's license and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
• Industry Intern/Coop experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and organization skills are essential.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Assist in gathering information for estimates for selected project with detailed review of proposal specifications, drawings, takeoff information, and contracting.
• Provide technical assistance, interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required. Assist in Initiating and maintaining extra work estimating and issuance of change orders.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly project status reports, forecasting cost projections, and status of the project.
• When assigned by supervisor, lead a pre-construction team as a team leader to provide guidance, direction and leadership.
• Maintain project files in a neat and organized manner.
• Assist in administrative responsibilities such as: issuing Owner and Subcontract agreements, scheduling, change order management, shop drawings, RFI’s, related day to day correspondence, etc.
• Assist in the preparation of necessary and required closeout project documentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
