Job summary

Performance Contracting, Inc. (PCI) seeks an experienced Project Engineer for its PCI Southern Missouri operations based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The role supports labor control, prepares RFIs and submittals, and coordinates with field teams to manage schedules and closeout documents.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of construction-project experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office. Local to Tulsa preferred; visa sponsorship not offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience supporting or managing construction projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Willingness to learn new skills and take initiative.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask on multiple projects.
• Local to Tulsa, OK (preferred).

Project Engineer Job Description

Performance Contracting is seeking an experienced Project Engineer for its PCI Southern Missouri 577 operations based in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Job Responsibilities Include

• Perform labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance
• Prepare RFI’s and submittals
• Quantitative takeoffs to verify estimates, order materials, and price change orders
• Create and implement job schedules and coordinate with field supervisors and foremen
• Create and manage punch lists and job closeout documentation
• Support the Quality Control measures outlined in the QA/QC program
• Assist in other duties as assigned
  
  

Salary range: $75,100-$101,000 annual salary plus non-guaranteed annualized bonus program.

This position is safety-sensitive.

Basic Requirements

• Must have at least 2 years’ experience supporting or managing construction projects
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word, etc.)
• Possess a clear understanding of how to read and interpret specifications and drawings
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to learn new skills by engaging in the technical job functions and applying new skills as they're learned
• Strong customer service skills and relationship-building abilities
• Ability to prioritize and multitask while handling multiple projects concurrently
• Motivated self-starter with strong work ethic and a willingness to take initiative
• Works well under pressure and deadlines

Preferred Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or related discipline
• Experience with interiors scopes of work preferred.
• Experience managing specialty scopes of construction.
• OSHA certification.
