Job summary

The Baker Concrete Construction, Inc is seeking a Project Engineer to support field activities and assist the Project Manager with project administration on multiple small projects or one medium to large project. You will help manage costs, schedules, procurement, and contract administration while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Based in Point Pleasant, WV, this role requires up to 50% travel and a bachelor’s degree with construction experience or an equivalent combination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 2 years’ construction experience or 6 years’ related experience.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Generates and obtains approvals of monthly billing and earned values.
• Develops and manages the project schedule on small or mid-sized projects.
• Analyzes targets and goals, job cost summaries, and other reports.
• Alerts the Superintendent and Project Manager of project impact relating to resource management, crew make-up/size, etc.
• Generates estimates of change orders and may interface with pre-construction on original bids.
• Coordinates with the Superintendent, Field Project Engineer, and Line and Grade to generate required as-built records.
• Manages work package closure, punch lists, and project turnover process.
• Collects necessary documentation to identify and determine impact of potential contract changes, disputes, and claims.
