Integra Build is seeking a motivated and driven Project Engineer to support our growing Multifamily Division.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to build a long-term career in construction, work directly alongside experienced leadership, and embrace the demanding but rewarding nature of large-scale multifamily development.

About Us

Integra Build delivers high-quality multifamily communities with a focus on precision, accountability, and strong field execution. We value presence, reliability, and grit. Our teams move fast and operate with discipline, and we invest heavily in developing people who show commitment and hunger to grow.

Position Summary

We are hiring an Entry-Level Project Engineer to support and manage project documentation, field coordination, and administrative workflows required to execute ground-up multifamily construction. You will be the gatekeeper of all project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, plan revisions, permits, logs, schedules, meeting minutes, safety records, and all closeout documentation. Because documentation control is mission-critical, your time allocation will evolve with the project lifecycle. This role requires someone who learns quickly, communicates, stays organized under pressure, and thrives in a demanding environment with variable workload and occasional extended hours.

Key Responsibilities
Documentation & Project Controls (Primary Responsibility)
  • Serve as the central gatekeeper for all project documentation and ensure consistent compliance with company filing structure.
  • Manage and track all RFIs in Procore: creation, routing, response tracking, tagging to drawings, and proper archiving.
  • Manage all submittals: review, routing, tracking, ensuring accurate filing for closeout, and verifying delivered materials match approved submittals.
  • Maintain drawing logs, revisions, distribution lists, and ensure the most current plans are posted both digitally and in hard-copy form.
  • Track permit expiration dates, maintain permit logs, upload all permits, and coordinate with Development and A/E for city-required resubmittals.
  • Collect, maintain, and update MSDS documentation and ensure MSDS binders are organized and accessible.
  • Coordinate scanning, uploading, and distribution of newly approved stamped plans.
  • Ensure all revisions submitted to the city are logged, tracked, and incorporated into the project files.
  • Conduct regular site walks and inspections to document progress, quality, and safety.
Field Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily site walks with the Superintendent for quality, safety, and progress verification.
  • Verify materials delivered to site match approved submittals; report discrepancies immediately.
  • Assist with jobsite safety walks, identify hazards, notify subcontractors, and document issues.
  • Support tracking of jobsite incidents, including gathering subcontractor reports and updating safety logs.
  • Monitor manpower through subcontractor daily reports; ensure accuracy and timely submission in Procore.
  • Assist with punch list creation, follow-up, verification, and closeout.
Office Responsibilities
  • Maintain daily and weekly project logs, including RFI logs, submittal logs, plan revision logs, and safety logs.
  • Manage subcontractor daily reports, ensuring manpower, work performed, and delays are documented correctly.
  • Prepare agendas and meeting minutes for weekly subcontractor meetings, internal team meetings, QAQC meetings, pre-install meetings, etc.
  • Maintain an updated 4-week lookahead schedule in coordination with the Superintendent.
  • Assist with overall project schedule updates and distribution to the project team.
  • Support procurement tracking, subcontractor coordination, and follow-up on outstanding items.
  • Prepare and update Safety Binder, weekly safety topics (English/Spanish), and track subcontractor sign-in sheets.
  • You will be fully responsible for assembling all electronic closeout documentation, including:
    • Submittal packages (organized and indexed)
    • Warranty letters
    • O&M manuals
    • Final drawing sets and RFI-tagged as-builts
    • Subcontractor and consultant contact lists
    • Certificates, permits, and inspection records
    • All closeout logs and turnover documentation
  • Your accuracy and organization will directly impact project turnover.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred) or a combination of relevant experience/education will be considered.
  • 0–3 years of experience in commercial or multi-family/condo construction (internship or field experience a plus).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Familiarity with construction documents and project processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail; strong ability to shift priorities quickly and professionally.
  • Basic knowledge of construction processes, means/methods, materials, and permitting.
  • Familiarity with building codes, documentation standards, and industry workflows.
  • Proficiency or willingness to learn: Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills with subcontractors, consultants, and internal departments (Accounting, HR, A/E, QAQC).
  • Ability to balance field presence with heavy administrative/documentation workload.
Desired Characteristics
  • Has grit, stays consistent and productive when the workload is heavy and the pressure is high.
  • Shows up every day, physically present, mentally engaged, and dependable.
  • Takes ownership and follows through without needing constant reminders.
  • Is highly organized and disciplined with paperwork, logs, and digital documentation.
  • Can pivot between field conditions and office demands without losing accuracy.
  • Wants a meaningful challenge and a long-term career in construction, not just a short-term job.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to navigate active construction sites, including stairs, uneven terrain, and outdoor environments.
  • Comfortable working in hot, cold, or noisy conditions.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during field operations.
  • Work performed in both project site offices and outdoor job site conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, climb stairs, walk on jobsite terrain, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required.
What We Offer
  • Direct mentorship from seasoned Project Managers, Superintendents, and Construction Executive Vice-President.
  • Exposure to all major scopes of multifamily construction: civil, structural, MEP, interiors, scheduling, quality control, and closeout.
  • A culture centered on accountability, teamwork, and professional growth, and that rewards presence, consistency, ownership, and real grit.
  • Accelerated learning environment with immediate, real responsibility and clear advancement tracks in the organization.
