Job summary

Crowder Construction Co in Wilmington, NC seeks a Project Engineer to support Project Managers and Superintendents in scheduling, purchasing and documentation for civil/industrial projects.

Responsibilities include expediting materials, preparing submittals, coordinating with subcontractors, and assisting in cost analysis and change management. A 4-year engineering degree or equivalent experience is required, with proficiency in AutoCAD and Primavera.

Qualifications

• 4 year engineering degree or 5 years equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office, Primavera P6, COINS.
• Experience in project planning, scheduling, and estimating.
• Ability to prepare subcontractor scopes of work.
• Familiarity with pricing, purchasing, and preparation of purchase orders.
• Ability to read and understand drawings.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, and others in managing, scheduling, and purchasing for various construction projects.
• Plan work and purchase materials with safety in mind.
• Assist Project Manager with daily project duties.
• Expedite material procurement, approval, and delivery to promote efficient construction.
• Prepare and track all necessary submittals.
• Obtain required material certifications and assist with cost tracking.
• Assist in coordination of projects including subcontractors and invoicing.
• Identify changes in scope and pursue fair compensation.
