Job summary

Great Place Construction in Iowa City, IA is seeking a Project Engineer (GPC) to join the on-site management team. You will facilitate, analyze and manage field coordination across subcontractors, schedules and quality control.Responsibilities include pre-construction QC planning, permitting support, daily tracking and reporting, document control, and project close-out. The role offers growth as the company expands its commercial construction projects and values proactive team players.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction or engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Develop/implement pre-construction quality control plan.
• Assist in obtaining/maintaining construction permits.
• Administer daily project tracking and reporting.
• Manage and distribute project information and contract documents.
• Facilitate project close out.
• Actively participate in project processes; RFIs, submittals, as-builts, schedules, etc.
