Job summary

McShane Construction Company in Madison, WI is seeking a Project Engineer to help deliver multi-family, industrial, and commercial projects. You will develop project controls, learn about project financials, and support project meetings, ensuring safety, timeliness, and budget compliance.

This in-office, full-time role requires a B.S. in a related field, strong communication, and proficiency with Salus, PlanGrid, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field; internship preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate with clients, design consultants and trade partners.
• Fully proficient with construction management software including Salus, PlanGrid and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Review project drawings to understand scope and details.
• Assist in bid tab evaluation by reviewing Subcontractor proposals and scope.
• Assist in PQM process for all subcontractors.
• Create, maintain and manage project RFI’s, submittals, procurement, drawings and changes.
• Prepare job cost reports and Applications for Payment.
