Job summary

McShane Construction is seeking a Project Engineer in Alabama to support preconstruction, project controls, scheduling, quality, and safety on multi-family, industrial, and commercial projects.

You will gain experience managing RFIs, submittals, cost reports, and project documentation while coordinating with clients, design consultants, and trade partners; a related BS is preferred and in-office work near Auburn.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field; internship experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, design consultants and trade partners.
• Proficient with construction management software including Salus, PlanGrid and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Preconstruction: review drawings, assist bid tab evaluation, assist PQM process for subcontractors.
• Project Controls: manage RFIs, submittals, procurement, drawings changes, meeting minutes, punch lists, closeouts; approve project documents.
