Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Project Engineer in Kansas City, MO to support commercial construction projects under a top-tier contractor. The role involves assisting with planning, coordination, and execution, managing submittals, RFIs, drawings, and specifications, and coordinating vendor and subcontractor activities.

You will monitor schedules and budgets, participate in change processes, and work closely with architects, engineers, and trade partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1–4+ years of experience in commercial construction (internship experience considered).
• Strong understanding of construction processes, documentation, and project workflows.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Support project managers and superintendents in planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects.
• Manage project documentation including submittals, RFIs, drawings, and specifications.
• Assist with procurement processes, including vendor and subcontractor coordination and material tracking.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and cost controls to ensure successful project delivery.
• Participate in change management processes, including reviewing proposals and preparing change orders.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and trade partners to ensure alignment across all project phases.
• Maintain strong communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.
