Job summary

Barton Malow is seeking a commercial construction project engineer to join our Nashville team. The role supports the project delivery team across multiple service lines, including sports venues, healthcare, higher education, and more.

The engineer will plan, develop, coordinate, supervise, and monitor on-site construction engineering activities, acting as liaison with architects/engineers and owners regarding progress and changes.

Qualifications

• 4-year Engineering/Construction Management or related degree is required.
• 1+ year of professional or internship construction experience is required.
• OSHA 30 Hour certification preferred.
• Strong organizational, detail-oriented, self-directed problem solving, and document control skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for resolution and tracking of project issues.
• Support superintendents to ensure contractors maintain schedule in the field.
• Process submittals and RFIs (Requests for Information).
• Prepare meeting agendas and lead meetings.
• Assist with planning and managing site logistics.
• Enforce corporate safety policies on jobsite.
• Review contractor quotations for changes and process change orders.
• Manage plan review and approval with local and state municipalities.

Barton Malow is seeking a commercial construction project engineer to join our growing team in Nashville, TN! This role will support our project delivery team with construction projects across various service lines including sports & entertainment arenas, healthcare, higher education, and more.

This position will plan, develop, coordinate, supervise, and monitor on-site construction engineering activities for the project and act as liaison with architect/engineer and owner regarding project progress and changes.

Requirements

• 4-year Engineering, Construction Management or related degree required
• 1+ years of professional and/or related construction internship experience required
• OSHA 30 Hour preferred
• Well-organized, detail-oriented and ability to be self-directed to problem solve issues
• Strong organizational skills applied to Document Control and Close Out
• Strong proactive positive attitude with commitment to Safety
