Job summary

USG is offering Project Engineer – Co-op opportunities across multiple manufacturing sites in the United States. The program provides hands-on engineering experience in mechanical, electrical, chemical, civil, industrial, or engineering management disciplines, with real assignments that impact safety, quality and efficiency.

The co-op role is designed to give students a broad view of manufacturing and a path to high visibility and responsibility within projects and plant operations.

Qualifications

• Sophomore-year completion required; eligibility for co-op.
• Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Civil, Industrial or Engineering Management.
• Minimum GPA of 2.75.
• Applicants must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Assist planning and implementation of capital projects to improve safety, production efficiency or product quality.
• Gain broad view of manufacturing with hands-on assignments.
• Work on real projects that impact the facility.

Education

Sophomore year completion; eligible after completing first term

The Project Engineer – Co‑op provides engineering support within a plant manufacturing environment for either one or two terms.

Responsibilities include assisting with the planning and implementation of capital projects to improve employee safety, production efficiencies or product quality. The work is "hands on" and designed to give the student a broad view of manufacturing. The Project Engineer – Co‑op will be given "real" assignments that will have an impact within the facility.

Qualifications

• Students must have completed at least the first term of their sophomore year in school to be eligible.
• Co‑op students must be pursuing an engineering degree in one of the following disciplines: Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Civil, Industrial or Engineering Management.
