Higley Construction seeks a Project Engineer to gain exposure to multiple career paths within the firm through departmental rotations in both the office and the field over a 3–5 year period. Through rotations in operations, safety, project controls, estimating, and business development, the Project Engineer develops a strong understanding of core company processes, procedures, and systems to help identify a career path best aligned with their skills and interests. The role reports to various departmental and project leaders throughout these rotations and may transition between office and field assignments depending on project needs. Exceptional customer service is expected to colleagues in the office and field, as well as to owners, owners’ representatives, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.
For Cleveland, OH this ranges from $64,480 to $75,400 plus benefits and retirement program.
As part of your employment with Higley Construction, an initial pre‑employment drug and alcohol test is required. This is followed by company‑wide annual and random drug and alcohol testing for all employees for the duration of your employment.

Physical Activities: The role requires driving to and from office, job sites, meetings, client locations, events, and other work‑related locations as necessary. It may require climbing ladders, using mobile elevated work platforms at heights of up to 80 feet, and entering and working in confined or tight spaces. The position requires standing or sitting for extended periods, frequent movement between tasks or worksites, and lifting or adjusting objects weighing 30 to 50 pounds without difficulty. Tasks may involve operating spray‑test equipment, construction site tools, power tools, machinery, and heavy equipment. Employees must be able to wear fall protection gear and respiratory protection.
Environmental Conditions: Work may take place in a variety of environmental conditions, including exposure to high and low temperatures, inclement weather such as rain, wind, and snow, and getting wet during specific tasks. The role may also involve working in dusty environments, areas with extreme noise, poor ventilation, and small or enclosed spaces. In some instances, no adverse environmental conditions are expected.
