Job summary

Envista Forensics LLC in the St. Louis, MO area is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to join our forensic team. The role includes field investigations and inspections about 40% of the time, with work-from-home flexibility when not on site.

You will contribute to high‑quality project results and client satisfaction across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The position requires a BS in Civil/Structural Engineering, PE preferred, and 5–7 years of design experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering or related discipline.
• PE preferred; EIT may be considered.
• 5–7 years’ design experience in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
• Field experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Investigate the origin and cause of failures, damages, or defects in civil/structural fields on residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
• Analyze failure of building systems and review design or maintenance procedures.
• Perform field investigations and document damaged property with multi‑party oversight.
• Prepare reports outlining origin and cause of damages for clients.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams on large, complex assignments.
