Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive experience in civil/site design or municipal infrastructure.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of IDEM, DOT, and local stormwater and utility standards.

• Develop grading, drainage, utility and stormwater management designs.
• Review construction documents, technical specifications, and permit applications.

Position: Project Engineer

Location: Cleveland, OH (on site)

We are seeking a talented and self‑motivated Project Engineer to join our Civil Group. This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of site development and municipal infrastructure projects across multiple market sectors.

As a Project Engineer, you will support the design and delivery of complex civil engineering projects while collaborating across disciplines and mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual, preliminary, and final site design plans for commercial, institutional, and public projects.
• Develop grading, drainage, utility, and stormwater management designs using applicable local and state standards.
• Prepare and review construction documents, technical specifications, cost estimates, and permit applications.
• Coordinate project design activities with internal disciplines, subconsultants, and clients.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic calculations for stormwater conveyance and detention systems.
• Develop erosion control and regulatory compliance plans in accordance with IDEM and municipal requirements.
• Mentor and assist junior engineers and CAD designers, ensuring technical accuracy and adherence to standards.
• Provide technical support during permitting and construction administration phases.
• Participate in project meetings with clients, contractors, and review agencies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
